PAYMENTS
Deposit:
A non-refundable 50% deposit is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance will not come due until the final work has been completed and approved.
Final Payment:
The full, final payment must be paid within one week of the invoice being sent. A fee of $10 will be added for each week that an invoice remains unpaid. If an invoice is not paid within 4 weeks, an additional fee of $100 will be added and the client will be required to pay entire invoices in advance if they wish to book again.
Rush Orders:
Blue Moon Creative Studio will grant occasional rush project requests. Rush projects will be granted on an individual basis, as the designer is able or willing to add them. The fee will be based on how quickly the cover is needed and how full the calendar is at the time of request.
Premade Purchases:
All premade sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges. All purchases are non-transferable to another party.
Cancellations:
Booking deposits are non-refundable. However, if you would like to cancel before any work has been completed, Blue Moon Creative Studio will keep your payment on your account as a credit for future use.
DESIGN
Premade Cover Time Frame:
All premade covers will be received in first-draft/pre-approval form within one week of booking date/request, regardless of how far out Blue Moon Creative Studio is booked with custom work.
Custom Cover Time Frame:
Blue Moon Creative Studio endeavors to complete a single book cover in a 4-6 week timeframe beginning on the 1st of the month in which the cover is booked for design. This time frame may change based on the difficulty of the work, the number of covers requested in a single booking, and the communication level of the client. It is always encouraged to create a booking on a date at least two months out from the date it is first needed.
Map Design Time Frame
Turnaround for map design is within a 2-3 week timeframe beginning at the time the design is scheduled. This time frame may change based on the difficulty of the work and the communication level of the client.
Revisions:
On premade covers, clients are allowed up to 3 revisions. On custom covers, clients are allowed up to 5 revisions, within the scope of the project. Large scale changes to custom covers may require an additional fee that will be determined after discussion with the client. For map design, clients are provided with up to 3 revisions at the base rate, however excessive revisions may result in a $50 per hour fee for additional work.
Images and Art Stock:
The client understands that all imagery is collected through publicly available stock websites, such as DepositPhotos.com. All files are royalty-free and have been purchased for use, however they are NOT exclusive. On occasion, if unable to find the right image on Deposit Photos, Blue Moon Creative Studio will utilize iStockPhoto.com or ShutterStock.com. For exclusive images, the client must make a purchase independently. However, it is always encouraged to discuss a design concept with the designer before purchasing photographs or other design elements.
Changes After Approval:
All clients accept that a final design may not be altered in any capacity by anyone except for Blue Moon Creative Studio. Any changes after final files have been sent through may incur a fee, depending on what is being adjusted.
Ownership of Artwork:
Blue Moon Creative Studio maintains full rights of all original artwork and the design concept, including layout, image style, placement, and fonts. This means that another person may NOT recreate or alter anything without the explicit approval of the designer. However, if a client wishes to utilize components of the design for social media, marketing, branding, etc., they may purchase elements for an additional fee.
Code of Fair Practice:
Blue Moon Creative Studio guarantees that, to the best of their knowledge, the work prepared is an original creation and has not been previously published.
